Select Bank looks for companies with annual earnings between $2 million and $60 million - before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA).

Our investments range between $1 million and $5 million equity capital. We maintain access to additional equity capital via our extensive networks if necessary.

We look to acquire ownership positions ranging from 5% to 49%, however, in specific situations we will consider majority shareholding opportunities. We aim to structure partnerships whereby management retains the controlling position and ownership remains intact.

Select Bank possesses expertise in a variety of industries and is continually seeking to expand into new arenas of opportunity. We seek partnerships in firms within industries that demonstrate healthy underlying growth trends, strong barriers to entry, and are subject to strict standards of regulatory review.

Partnership viability is measured through performance history and the prospect of strong future growth. We prefer firms which have demonstrated recurring revenues, compelling returns on capital, significant competitive advantages and strong, diverse customer relations.

In each portfolio company, managers are shareholders that place their own personal capital at risk. It is important that partner firms demonstrate managerial performance over the life of the business and personal investment in the firm which reflects a commitment to success and the pursuit of growth. Once we have established a common vision and aligned values, we are prepared to enter into a partnership.
